Word Study for this Week

We are study the long and short 'i' sound.  Be looking for words that contain these sounds.  Here are some features of these sounds:  short 'i' is usually followed by a consonant.  Long 'i' can be followed by a consonant, 'igh' and CVCe.  This week's oddball word is 'build'.  Notice that it is a short 'i' spelled with 'ui'.
