News From the Office

The Center for International Studies at St. Cloud State University, in partnership with the International Students' Association, is excited to announce our annual "Passport to the World" event, which will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2011 from 4-6pm in SCSU's Atwood Memorial Center Ballroom.

Passport to the World is a FREE annual event at SCSU. This event is specifically geared toward children, however all ages are welcome. During Passport to the World, participants receive a "passport" to collect "visa" stamps from each booth they visit, which they can carry home to remind them of their trip around the world. The event is intended to show how people share the common experiences of family life, the world of work, expressions of faith, and recreation. There are also displays of cultural artifacts and performances of dance and song from all over the globe.

The theme for this year's event is "Games, Dance, Music." Through interactive displays and activities, groups will teach participants about the variety of games, dance and music? around the world. We have included a flyer about this event, which we hope you will share with your organization. There is also a link to the electronic version of this poster accessible through our website: [ http://www.stcloudstate.edu/internationalstudents/living/culturalsharing/iew.asp ] http://www.stcloudstate.edu/internationalstudents/living/culturalsharing/iew.asp.
