News From the Office

Pleasantview Families,

This has been an exciting week here at Pleasantview. Thank you so much for sharing your child(ren) with us. The beginning of school is always like a big family reunion. There is lots of anticipation, excitement, and even a little fear. Then once it finally gets here, it is nothing but fun. It has been not only a fun week, but also a week full of learning. Students and staff have been busy learning routines, schedules, curriculum, and about each other.

One of the new things the entire school has been busy learning about is PATH. PATH stands for Personal best, Accountable, Teamwork, and Honest. It is our code of conduct.? Students and staff are expected to come to school ready to give their personal best, hold themselves accountable for their actions, work as a team, and be honest about their behavior and abilities. Students caught on the PATH are given PATH tickets. We are all working to fill our PATH bucket. Once are PATH bucket is completely filled we will have a special "Choose what you learn" day at Pleasantview.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to tell you about 2 events that are coming up next week:

Tuesday, Sept. 11th PTAC meets right inside door 2 at 7 pm.? PTAC is a parent, staff group that plans events for a Pleasantview students? They ? ?are always looking for new  members.? It is a great place to get to know some other parents and offer ideas to make Pleasantview the best it can be.? Hopefully you can join us.

Thursday, Sept. 13th is PIN night. PIN stands for Parent Information Night. This is great time to learn about your child's teachers and their expectations.? It is also a great time  to ask questions about classroom set up, activities, enrichment, communication, etc. This year we will be providing childcare while parents are attending  PIN night. Please plan on attending.
Times are as follows:
1st grade:  5:30 pm
2nd grade:  6:00 pm
3rd grade:  6:30 pm
4th grade: 7:00 pm
5th grade:  7:30 pm

Thanks again for sharing your child(ren) with us!

More info.....

FYI - In an effort to provide accurate information....

Is agricultural land and season recreational residential property included in the operating levy?
  • For agricultural property (both homestead and non-homestead), the taxes for the proposed referendum will be based on the value of the house, garage and one acre of land only.~ There will be no referendum taxes paid on the value of agricultural land and buildings.~ For seasonal recreational residential property (e.g., cabins), there will be no taxes paid for the proposed referendum.

Thanks--Aby
