Most kids completed of nearly completed the suffix and word ending worksheets (3 pages in all). They should get them signed by you tonight and return them for $5 on Wednesday.
The Dear Parent Spelling Letter is due on Thursday for $5 in Krupa Cash. Many children completed it in class.
Thursday is the mid point for the completion of the October Reading Contract. I explained to the kids today that they should have at least 150 minutes read and six grid items completed by Thursday evening. Also, each child should have at least two AR points accumulated this month. Ask to see their AR score sheet if you are uncertain as to whether or not they have earn 2 AR points this month.
The Concentric Circle Art Project was explained today. Many children worked on this project and nearly completed it. It is not due until October 28th and counts as one of the October Reading Contract grid items. We have gone over the weather.com/LOC activity, listing seven AR books project, Concentric Circle Art Project, and have given time for each student to work on their Reading COntract in class. Please check to see that they have completed six grid items by Thursday. Wednesday we will spend time in the lab researching and working on the comic strip.
