Timeline for completing our Invention Unit
January 6th - Finish typing our three paragraphs and take them home to be edited. There will be a PS form to sign stating that
have looked over their paragraphs.
January 9th - Type final Copies - If needed, type paragraphs with corrections. Each child needs to have a copy of their three paragraphs saved in their school computer folder.
January 11th and 12th -Practice presentations
January 13th, 16th-18th - Give presentations to the class- Take final quiz.
January 19th - Voting takes place
January 20th - The BIG Day - Inventors' Congress
January 20th - 1:45 Take home inventions and Poster Board
Week of January 23rd - Grades and Logs returned
January Reading Contracts are due on January 6th
Yearbook Orders were sent home today - They are due on January 31st. Cost is $13.50
Division Packets are due on Tuesday, January 10th

Dear Parent / Guardian,
As the New Year begins, I want to take a moment to make sure that each of us knows our after school routine/plans. It seems that there have been a few students in other rooms that have attempted to make changes without the proper verification and this has caused some confusion and delays. My understanding is that in each of these situations, changes in routines had occurred and that information was not conveyed to all of the participating parties. So, I’m asking that each of you review your after school routine with your child and send a list of that information back to me. Again, I just want to make sure that those of us in our room are not confused on where to go and where to be located at the end of the day. Please recall that if changes are necessary, the school needs a written note indicating a change in the daily routine. Hopefully, reviewing this plan with your child and their teacher will avoid any possible confusion in the future.
