Dear Families,

Spring is a time of year when there are many changes in nature.  The fourth grade teachers use this natural opportunity to tie into the physical changes in people.  On Friday, May 24th each classroom will separate their students into groups of boys and girls to show a video and hold a discussion on the changes the students can expect to go through as they mature.

The videos have been approved by the district curriculum committee and the school board.  They are considered to be appropriate for fourth graders.  If you are interested in viewing the film, it will be available for you to preview on May 16th and 22nd from 2:20 to 3:00. If interested, please confirm your date with your child's teacher.

D = DECODE AND DENIM DAY - May 28

E = ELETRONIC GAME DAY (BATTERY OPERATED- 1-2PM) May 24

                           

F = FACT AND OPINION DAY (Be prepared to share an opinion and a fact)- May 23

G = GAME AND GUM DAY – (Bring in a favorite game 1- 2 PM and enjoy some gum while you play) - May 2

H= HAT DAY (bring in one for the morning and one for the afternoon)- May 21

I = ICE CREAM SUNDAE DAY (SIGN UP TO BRING IN A TOPPING) Monday,  May 20

J = JERSEY DAY -May 17

K = KNOCK-KNOCK JOKE DAY - Also Field Day May 16

L = LOUNGE WEAR DAY- May 15

M = MIRROR, MIRROR DAY (dress exactly like someone else- can be more than 2 people)-May 14

N = NO PENCIL DAY (use a marker or colored pencil)  - May 13

O = Origami - May 10  - Unity Day

P = PICNIC Day (take cold lunch outside)- May 9

Q = QUESTION DAY (Try to stump the class with a trivia question- make sure you know the answer)- May 8

AAA Awards:   Segment 1 will include grades 1, 3, 5 and will take place on Friday, May 17th.  Segment 2 will include grades K, 2, 4 and will take place on Friday, May 24th.
