Congratulations on completing your first week of fourth grade! It was a busy week organizing materials, learning new routines, building new relationships, and reviewing school rules and procedures. I definitely appreciated the students responsible and respectful behavior. Listed below are a few of the task that we completed this week. Please review each one with your child and if you find yourself unsure of an of them, please send me an e-mail with your questions.
We completed our agenda and took it home each night to have our parents sign and it.
We completed our first math assignment and returned it signed by a parent
We checked out a library book and begin reading 20 minutes per night.
We completed our daily morning routine in our September notebook and checked to make sure all responses were accurate.
We sent all required signed school forms to the office. This included payment for juice and snack which begins on Monday, September 9.
We discussed and read a book about P.A.T.H. expectations. We agreed to demonstrate Personal Best behaviors, be Accountable for our actions, increase our success with Teamwork, and be Honest in all our actions throughout the year!
Again, thank you for an enjoyable and successful first week of school. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at david.krupa@isd47.org

Growing Healthy Video
May 10, 2013
Dear Families,
Spring is a time of year when there are many changes in
nature. The fourth grade teachers
use this natural opportunity to tie into the physical changes in people. On Friday, May 24th each classroom will
separate their students into groups of boys and girls to show a video and hold
a discussion on the changes the students can expect to go through as they
mature.
The videos have been approved by the district curriculum committee
and the school board. They are
considered to be appropriate for fourth graders. If you are interested in viewing the film, it will be
available for you to preview on May 16th and 22nd from 2:20 to 3:00. If
interested, please confirm your date with your child's teacher.
Sincerely,
The Fourth Grade Staff
